What’s the point?
Education on politics and economics in the UK has been gradually diminished over the past decade, to the point where most of us don’t encounter it until A-Level, if at all. I’m here to help bridge that gap.
Think of me as an ‘agony aunt’ for political issues: you can send me your questions about the news, global politics, or economic concepts, and I’ll do my best to break them down in a way that’s clear, practical, and easy to follow.
But let’s be clear: I’m not a journalist or a politician, nor do I claim to be neutral. I’m a politics nerd sitting in my bedroom, doom-scrolling through news articles and spending too much money on books. I have a Master’s degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, five years of constant learning, and a deep passion for understanding how the world works.
I strongly believe that politics and economics affect all of us, whether we like it or not, and the more we engage, the more control we have over our own lives.
This podcast cuts through the chaos, avoiding scandals and surface-level takes, to focus on what really matters: policy, not personalities. I aim to connect the dots of global politics, highlight stories the media overlooks, and explore what the UK can learn from the rest of the world.
Make Politics Boring Again is about moving past the drama to focus on the real-life effects of politics, empowering meaningful discussions, and helping us all understand the systems that shape our lives.
Let’s make politics boring again.
